Blocking

Blocking assignments encode pass protection, run responsibilities, and movement without tying them to a particular diagram implementation.

Protection and run intent

Pass-block records explain a protector's responsibility. Run concepts can describe gap ownership and blocking responsibility, while movement-based assignments can provide paths when the schema supports them.

Educational detail

Responsibility text should identify the defender, gap, area, or rule involved. Labels such as block left are too thin to teach why the assignment exists.
