Assignments

Assignments are discriminated records that connect one player to a route, block, rush, coverage, handoff, or supporting responsibility.

Typed responsibilities

The assignment type determines the allowed fields. A route has path segments, man coverage has a target and leverage, zone coverage has a polygon and responsibility, and run support can use a textual responsibility.

Referential integrity

Every assignment player ID must resolve to a player in the same document. Target IDs used by matchup assignments must also resolve, preventing diagrams from silently losing participants.
