The quick start
Before the snap
Set the matchup, understand the situation, and choose a play before you know exactly what the defense has called.
Choose a fictional offense and opponent. Every possession begins at your own 35-yard line.
The scoreboard keeps down, distance, field position, and the current play number in view.
Compare the available concepts, then lock your call. The defense stays hidden until you commit.
During the play
Once the calls are locked, the defense is revealed and the top-down animation turns the matchup into one clear read.
Review the front, coverage, and summary. Open the disguise note when you want the pre-snap explanation.
Watch routes, blocks, rushes, and coverage move together. Pause, replay, or change the animation speed at any time.
The action pauses at the key read. Pick the response you think best fits what the defense is doing.
After the whistle
The result is more than yardage. OpenPlay connects the outcome to the matchup so the next call is an informed one.
See the outcome and yards gained, plus a plain-language explanation of why the play succeeded or failed.
