About the project
OpenPlay Football began with a question: can a football play be described once, then used to teach, animate, simulate, and share it.
Traditional diagrams are useful, but they often leave timing, assignments, reads, adjustments, and decisions implicit.
The current website is a working proof of concept. Users can choose fictional teams, call offensive plays through a complete drive, see a hidden defensive call revealed, follow animated assignments, make one football-specific decision, review the result, and ask Coach Riley Grant general football questions or follow up on a completed play.
The simulation is intentionally simplified. It does not reproduce the complete complexity of professional football, and OpenPlay Football Demo Schema v0.1 is experimental rather than an established industry standard.
AI Sure Tech is an independent technology studio focused on building practical, educational, and engaging AI-powered websites. The studio explores how artificial intelligence can make complex subjects easier to understand, more interactive, and more useful to everyday users.
AI Sure Tech built the current OpenPlay Football proof of concept to demonstrate the core idea publicly before asking others to help fund a larger product. Rather than presenting only a proposal or collection of mockups, the goal was to create a working experience that people could try for themselves. The current site shows how football plays can be taught, animated, simulated, and explained within a single educational platform.
The proof of concept also provides a foundation for gathering feedback, testing gameplay ideas, and identifying the features that would provide the most value to players, students, coaches, and football fans. Support from the Kickstarter campaign will help AI Sure Tech expand that foundation into a more complete, polished, and reliable public learning game.

Challenge Lab is the smallest funded release that can make OpenPlay Football meaningfully more useful and replayable. It builds directly on the current simulator while adding scenarios, progression, saved learning, daily reasons to return, and football review.
AI Sure Tech creates educational websites and experimental tools that use AI carefully, explain their limitations, and preserve deterministic or human-readable alternatives where practical.
The campaign’s long-term technical commitment is to publish the OpenPlay Football schema, its documentation, and a reference renderer under clearly stated open licenses. That will allow developers and educators to inspect how a play is represented and build compatible experiments without requiring the entire hosted application to be open source.
The final license choices and contribution rules will be published before or during Challenge Lab development. The hosted simulation, account services, campaign content, and future commercial tools may use separate terms.
Crowdfunding depends on trust. The official Kickstarter campaign presents the funded scope, reward details, risks, and project boundaries. If the campaign succeeds, project updates will separate completed work, current work, planned work, and delayed work.
OpenPlay Football is inviting fans, coaches, and enthusiasts to express interest in reviewing challenge scenarios, terminology, reads, explanations, and game simulation. Please Contact us if you would like to take part on shaping the Challenge Lab.
Fans can test the current drive. Coaches and educators can apply to review scenarios and terminology. Developers can inspect the OpenPlay documentation.
